Airdrie Pops is a community program aimed at recognizing individuals who exhibit the "Pursuit Of Positive Sport".
This could be an athlete, coach, manager, trainer, administration team member, therapist, instructor, concession staff - anyone who goes out of their way to make sure themselves and others around them have a positive experience participating in the activities they enjoy.

POPS is about recognizing people who lead by setting a good example and have a positive influence on others involved in activity and sport.
It started when people involved in sport and activity noticed there was a need to build an active community that supported each other to be active and achieve their best. Recognizing a person that “POPS” will inspire others to do the same.
Anyone involved in sport and activity can be a POPS winner - but it doesn’t just have to be for athletes or participants.
Maybe it’s a coach, therapist, nutritionist, a teacher, a Zamboni driver that tells jokes, a concession stand employee that makes hot chocolate just the way you like it every time.
People who put a smile on your face and make you want to be active are the type of nominees we’re looking for.
Use the QR code from one of our posters or complete the nomination form. If your nominee is selected, we may contact you to find out some more information. If you happen to have a picture of them, that's a bonus!
Nominations are reviewed by the Airdrie Sport Council board to ensure they meet the criteria and then picked through a random selection software.
Winners will receive a profile on #AirdriePOPS, a poster profile on display at Genesis Place and an #AirdriePOPS t-shirt.
