  1. What does receiving the POPS Award mean to you?
    The recongnition is the icing on the cake - it is not why I do it, but much appreciated!
  2. What inspired you to get involved in this sport or activity?
    I played rugby and my son now plays rugby - its in my blood and I love volunteering.
  3. Can you share a memorable moment from your journey?
    I felt very nervous coaching at first, but the club welcomed me in and made me feel confident.
  4. What makes Airdrie’s sports & activity community special?
    Its gives a sense of belonging and community that is so important to youth (and adults!)
  5. Advice for someone starting out in your sport or activity?
    Rugby is inclusive of all body types and skill levels. People think its rough, but it is very safe.
  6. How do you stay motivated and passionate about what you do?
    Surrounding myself with others who do the same!
  7. What’s one thing you hope people remember about your contribution?
    That we worked hard and played just as hard!
  8. Is there someone who influenced your journey you’d like to acknowledge?
    Terri-Lynn Hamilton is the President and an amazing role model for volunterism.
